Shit's crazy! I mean we literally lost our entire identity and culture. Looking at this video got me thinking...

New York Street Culture is supposed to be based off of struggle... like we don't have shit and we want shit. Simple as that, when I was younger it was about being ghetto fabulous. We knew we didn't have much and we made the best of whatever it was we did have. It was good enough for us. Niggas wasn't trying to be like rapper's on a Postal Worker's budget. It just wasn't logical.

As long as you had a fresh pair of Timb's, a Iceberg sweater, couple Coogi's, some Parasuco's etc., few dollars in your pocket and a Yankee fitted you was livin'. LOL not saying don't shoot for the star's but our concern's were different. We wasn't FRONTIN!!!!!


This was before everybody had a computer, back when people used to actually GO OUTSIDE AND DO SHIT! We aint have Myspace, Facebook, Crushspot, Migente, Mocospace (eeewwwww) Hi5, and all this other bullshit to pretend like we was live on.
You really fucking had to be. I aint trying to paint the picture like I was Joe Cool, cause niggas know my story.


Nowaday's when I look at nigga's I just say to myself what the fuck happened to my city!?!?!? Like niggas dressing like Wesley Snipes in "White Men Can't Jump" and shit. I mean progression and self expression are cool but c'monnnnn! Let's get our fucking act together man. We need to develop a new culture out here. Start taking niggas jackets and shit.
